Upstream activities

Accompany our strong growth and secure procurement

Like many companies in the Vendée region, the LIEBOT Group has built up a tightly integrated ecosystem of suppliers and partners over the years. These close-knit partnerships have not only fostered the growth of local businesses but also contributed to the Group’s success. However, to ensure its strong growth and secure its supplies in a sometimes unstable global context, since 2019 the LIEBOT Group has adopted a strategy of upstream integration, while maintaining existing partnerships.

The EUREKA roller shutter factory, the EX’AL extrusion and lacquering factory as well as CORALIUM the low-carbon foundry systematically complete this now entirely vertical process. These upstream activities are supported by the Liébot family outside of the LIEBOT Group, but fully operationally integrated.

The roller shutter specialist

  • Founded in 2019
  • Turnover of €24,000,000 in 2023
  • 54 employees
  • 1 factory (12,000 m²)
  • Capacity for 200,000 roller shutters
  • PVC and aluminium curtains
  • Sold to the LIEBOT Group companies

On a 12,000 m² site, with capacity for 200,000 made-to-measure roller shutters by 2026, EUREKA makes roller shutters to supply all companies within the LIEBOT Group. The manufacturing process for shutters with aluminium curtains has been fully redesigned and automated: from aluminium slat profiling using coil stock, to adding polyurethane foam and including assembly, shutter curtain rolling and storage. On a production line measuring 140 metres long, the process is uninterrupted and requires no manual intervention until the curtain is fitted into the frame. The implementation of this new tool will improve productivity (new roller shutter every 3 minutes), as well as product quality, while significantly reducing the environmental footprint, in particular with solar panels that will cover 75% of the site's electricity needs.

THE ROLLER SHUTTER SPECIALIST

The first low-carbon aluminium foundry in France

  • Set to launch in early 2025
  • €42,000,000 of investment
  • 60 employees over time
  • 1 factory (10,000 m²)
  • Capacity for 40,000 tonnes of aluminium billets per year
  • Sold to LIEBOT Group and external companies

Launched in spring 2022 by the Liébot and Corre families in Sainte-Hermine (Vendée region), CORALIUM is the first French foundry capable of sorting all types of aluminium waste (production offcuts and end-of-life aluminium) to produce low-carbon aluminium billets. For the first time in France, this foundry will combine both waste sorting and a foundry on the same site, incorporating the most environmentally-friendly technological innovations for reliable traceability of the low-carbon aluminium produced: purchasing waste from French recyclers, crushing of framing materials, sorting by separation (magnetic, sieving, X-ray), de-coating furnace and foundry. With a capacity of 40,000 tonnes per year, CORALIUM will meet need the needs of the FINEIRAL Group and the LIEBOT Group, and more broadly of all French construction professionals. The first smelting is scheduled for early 2025.

Located at the Plaine de l'Ain Industrial Park in Saint-Vulbas, in the heart of the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes and right next to the K•LIN factory, EX'AL specialises in the extrusion of aluminium profiles and lacquering. The company is committed to a 'closed-loop' environmental approach, with extrusion from the LIEBOT Group's recycled aluminium scrap, as well as low-carbon aluminium from CORALIUM. With a capacity of 12,000 tonnes, EX'AL has a 4.0 extrusion system that is unique to the market, with a highly automated pressing process up to lacquering, which produces 50% less energy than traditional extrusion systems, and a vertical lacquering line capable of producing 3 million lacquered square metres, directly integrated into the flow. EX'AL is part of the LIEBOT Group's supply chain diversification strategy and will also supply other diversified markets in the industry and construction sector.
